Can Tho City Police Women's Association won high prize in the Contest on Women, Peace and Security in the People's Police Force

(CT) - The Can Tho City Police Women's Association has just won 2 collective prizes (1 A prize and 1 C prize) and 3 individual prizes; honored by the Organizing Committee among 61 collectives and 200 outstanding individuals nationwide in the Contest "Learning about the National Action Program on Women, Peace and Security for the period 2024-2030" in the People's Police force. The contest was organized by the Department of Party and Political Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women in Vietnam, announcing the results on the afternoon of July 31.

With the spirit of initiative, creativity and close attention and direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the City Police, the Women's Association of Can Tho City Police has seriously organized and implemented, attracting a large number of members to participate. The competitions were carefully invested, practical and theoretical, demonstrating the understanding of national policies as well as the awareness of the responsibility of female police officers for the mission of maintaining peace , promoting gender equality and protecting the rights of women and children in the current context. In particular, the creative clip "Improving the effectiveness of propaganda work, preventing human trafficking crimes" won A prize.

According to the Can Tho City Police Women's Association, this year's contest recorded nearly 50,000 officers and soldiers in the entire force participating in the online contest. With persistent efforts and solidarity, the Can Tho City Police Women's Association has contributed to highlighting the pioneering role of women in the People's Police in the process of implementing national and international commitments on gender equality and sustainable peace.
