The first "Happy Elderly in Family" contest in Lao Cai province was exciting

On the morning of November 8, at Lao Cai ward, the Provincial Association of the Elderly held the opening ceremony of the first "Happy Elderly in Family" contest in Lao Cai province, 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Association of the Elderly; representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches, and 20 competition teams from communes and wards in the province.

This is the first time the competition has been held at the provincial level. The participating teams come from typical multi-generational families, selected from localities in the province.

At the contest, 20 teams with 92 members competed in the following sections: Greeting; Understanding and Talent; Conveying propaganda messages, reflecting the reality of the elderly, as well as the role and responsibility of the community towards the elderly.

Participating in the contest are exemplary and talented families in the locality.

The contest has created a healthy, useful and practical playground, helping the elderly live happily and healthily. At the same time, it raises awareness of policies and laws related to the elderly, affirming their role and dedication in all areas of life. The contest also calls for the responsibility of individuals, families and communities in taking care of physical and mental health, contributing to improving the quality of life for the elderly.
