Successfully rescued 22 people trapped by floods

Due to the impact of storm No. 13, from the evening of November 6 to November 7, Gia Lai province experienced very heavy rain, causing major flooding on the Ba River, causing many areas in Ayun Pa ward, Ia Tul commune, Ia Hiao commune and downstream areas to be deeply flooded and isolated.

Successfully rescued 22 people trapped by floods.

In Ia Tul commune, floodwaters from upstream rushed in quickly, isolating many households and trapping many people, unable to reach safety. The Gia Lai Provincial Military Command mobilized vehicles and personnel to carry out rescue operations.

By the afternoon of November 7, the authorities had successfully rescued 19 people trapped in isolated locations, including: 02 elderly people rescued on the roof, 11 people isolated on the alluvial ground in the middle of the Ba River and 6 people trapped in the field guard huts. All were brought back safely and received medical care.

On the same day, in Ia Hiao commune, the commune police force successfully rescued 3 people isolated by floodwaters in So Ma Hang B village.
