Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on May 9 to 4:00 p.m. on May 10, the whole country recorded 2,507 infections, continuing to increase compared to the number of cases the previous day.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,582,567 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,051 infections per 1 million people).

During the day, 657 patients were declared cured, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,629,335. The number of patients receiving oxygen is 132, an increase from yesterday, of which 28 are on invasive ventilators.

On the same day, May 10, the country recorded 3 deaths in Dien Bien (2), Nam Dinh (1). The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,200, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

Total deaths ranked 26th/231 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 141st/231 countries and territories in the world .

No COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on May 9. To date, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 266,296,051.
