Accordingly, ship KN 390 of Fisheries Surveillance Squadron No. 3 was assigned to carry out the task of parading at sea with other forces.

At the conference, Fisheries Control Squadron No. 3 said that it has focused on doing a good job of preparing all aspects, especially the work of preserving and painting, making the KN 390 ship increasingly standardized, clean and beautiful; organizing training to master plans and situations; ensuring good logistics and technical work, ready to carry out tasks.

Mr. Le Dai Nghia, Captain of Fisheries Control Squadron No. 3, acknowledged and commended the efforts, attempts and achievements of the KN 390 ship and the entire squadron in the past time. At the same time, he requested to continue focusing on doing a good job ofeducation , thoroughly raising awareness for the forces participating in the implementation of the A80 mission, clearly identifying that this is both an honor and a great responsibility; it is necessary to unite, overcome all difficulties, and strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

The KN 390 was delivered and put into operation in 2016, with a displacement of 2,500 tons. At the time of delivery, this was the most modern fisheries surveillance ship in Vietnam.

This is a long-term offshore patrol vessel, combined with search and rescue, designed by Damen Group (Netherlands). The vessel is 90.5 m long, 14 m wide, and 7 m high. Under normal conditions, the vessel has a continuous operating range of 5,000 nautical miles.

The KN 390 has high mobility, a large capacity oil and fresh water tank system, a modern rescue and medical area, a helicopter landing and take-off platform and other superior features.

The ship has the mission of multi-purpose offshore patrol, contributing to law enforcement; participating in rescue, search and rescue, propagating fishermen to go offshore in accordance with regulations; detecting and chasing away foreign ships that violate our country's waters. Every year, the KN 390 ship also has the mission of taking delegations to visit submerged and floating islands in the Truong Sa archipelago.

Over the years, the KN 390 has been dubbed the "ship that never sleeps". Thanks to that, it has helped the fisheries surveillance force many times detect and handle situations requiring rescue from our fishermen, especially during the stormy season in the Central region.
