Neighbors described her as humble, friendly and polite. Despite having her own housekeeper and staff, Tina Turner always drove around alone in her Porsche Cayenne.
Tina Turner often walks around shopping. Sometimes she sits on a bench in the local park, looking across Lake Zurich to the snow-capped mountains.
Tina Turner chose the village of Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland to live out her final years with her husband.

"She prefers to go alone with her husband Erwin rather than with a butler and entourage following her. They especially like Moreira Gourmet House – the best place in the area to buy smoked salmon and mushrooms" – a local shared.
Tina Turner moved to Küsnacht in 1995 when her husband Erwin Bach took a job in Switzerland. The two married in 2013. That same year, she became a Swiss citizen.
"When she first moved here, she joined yoga. The classes were held in the park nearby. She loved to go to the park, sit and enjoy the view. She was friendly, saying hello to everyone," said another neighbor.
Local people have good feelings for Tina Turner and her husband. They commented that the world- famous singer is modest and polite.

The mansion where Tina Turner and her husband lived happily for the past 22 years is not their property, but a rental property. The property has been sold and is now owned by a wealthy businesswoman. The information was revealed a few days after Tina Turner's death. However, the new owner only bought the castle as an investment, so Tina Turner's husband does not need to leave the familiar house but can simply continue to rent it if he wants.
In 2021, the music legends bought another property along the lake in the nearby village of Stäfa, which they use as a weekend getaway.
