Tourists visit Lam Kinh special national relic site.

Mr. Vi Van Ngo - one of the pioneers of community tourism in Ma village said: "Since Ma village started to develop community tourism, my family has proactively borrowed investment capital to build traditional stilt houses to serve tourists. Up to now, we have invested in building individual rooms and community rooms that can accommodate hundreds of tourists. All items such as tables and chairs for drinking water are also designed from bamboo close to nature. Along with that, in order to meet the needs of tourists, we also actively develop sightseeing and experiential tourism activities. Therefore, when coming to Ma village, tourists will be immersed in the green beauty of nature, cycling around the village, harmonizing with the daily life of local people, experiencing activities such as rice planting, brocade weaving, cooking... At night, in the traditional cultural space, people and tourists light a fire to "rap" each other to listen to songs, invitations, greetings from our ancestors, then make a sound bed, beat gongs, dance and sing around the fire.

Leaving Ma village, visitors come to Lam Kinh National Special Relic Site located on the left side of Chu River. With its rich history, culture and natural beauty, Lam Kinh has been one of the most attractive cultural and spiritual destinations in Thanh Hoa for many years. Coming to Lam Kinh, visitors will learn about the sacred land of "geomantic and talented people", the homeland of the national hero Le Loi, the birthplace of the Lam Son uprising to drive out the Ming invaders, and also the eternal resting place of the kings, queen mothers and queen mothers of the Le Dynasty.

When visiting the relic site, visitors will cross the arch-shaped stone bridge over the Ngoc River leading to the central area of Lam Kinh main hall. The main hall was restored and completed in 2017, officially opening to visitors in early 2022. This is a wood carving work using more than 2,000m3 of ironwood, made by dozens of skilled workers. The system of architectural patterns of columns, roofs, screens, and objects inside the main hall not only shows the ingenuity and skill of the craftsmen, but also truly reflects the beauty of the royal architecture of the Le Dynasty.

After visiting the main hall, visitors can offer incense at the Thai temples. The space of the Thai temples is solemnly and sacredly decorated with the shape of an arc embracing the main hall. The roof is covered with traditional fish-tail tiles. This is the place to worship the kings and queen mothers of the Later Le dynasty, filled with incense smoke all year round.

In addition, when coming to Lam Kinh, visitors can also hear many mysterious stories, such as the story of the sacrificial lim tree, the laughing guava tree... In recent years, the Management Board of the Relic Site has always focused on developing diverse tourism products here such as spiritual tourism, green tourism. Organizing cultural and artistic activities, especially during Lam Kinh festivals, Tet... Thanks to that, Lam Kinh always attracts a large number of tourists to visit and experience.

In order to attract more and more tourists to destinations along the Chu River in particular and Thanh Hoa tourism in general, in recent years, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has strengthened coordination with functional sectors and localities to expand tourism spaces, develop more tours and routes; focus on exploiting typical local tourism products. At the same time, focus on investing in infrastructure, improving the tourism environment, diversifying and improving the quality of tourism products to meet the increasing needs of tourists. Accommodation facilities in the province have also proactively renovated and upgraded in the direction of expanding the scale and quality of services, improving the capacity to welcome guests in an increasingly professional and modern direction. From there, it contributes to positioning the image of Thanh Hoa tourism as friendly, harmonious and attractive to both domestic and international tourists.
