Tong Son promotes the value of relics

Tien Hoa communal house, Tong Son commune.

Tien Hoa communal house has an area of over 200m2, located in the center of Tien Hoa 1 village. According to the book "Traditional and revolutionary history of Ha Linh commune", the communal house was built under the reign of King Minh Mang the 18th. The communal house worships Cao Son Dai Vuong - the village's tutelary god. Cao Son Dai Vuong is one of the three Tan Vien Son Thanh. The communal house has 5 compartments, with meticulously and delicately carved decorative motifs. Tien Hoa communal house was recognized as a provincial-level architectural and artistic relic in September 2012.

The communal house was renovated three times by the local government and people in 2002, 2012, and 2022. After being renovated, the communal house has met the spiritual needs of the people in the commune and neighboring areas.

Mr. Hoang Dinh Son - the caretaker of Tien Hoa communal house said: "The communal house is the pride of the people of Tong Son commune. For many years, I have volunteered to look after, protect, and burn incense on full moon, holidays, and New Year's. I hope that in the coming time, the State will continue to pay attention to investing in renovating and embellishing the communal house to make it more spacious, meeting the spiritual needs of the people."

Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Tong Son Commune, Le The Manh, shared: "From July 1, 2025, Tong Son Commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Ha Tien, Ha Son, Ha Tan communes and Ha Linh town. After the merger, the space was expanded, the commune has many historical - cultural relics, scenic spots. Currently, the whole commune has 18 historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, including 1 national historical - cultural relic. The Department of Culture and Society has reviewed and inventoried all relics, assessed the current status, on that basis, advised the People's Committee of the commune to have directions and orientations for conservation and restoration; develop a plan to develop spiritual tourism".

Through our research, we learned that in the commune, there are a number of relics that are seriously degraded, including Dong Bong and Bai Son communal houses... affecting the spiritual life of the local people. Currently, the work of mobilizing social resources to restore and embellish relics in the commune is also facing many difficulties, while the State's funding sources are still limited.

"In the coming time, the commune will connect the relic sites in the commune with the relic sites of neighboring localities such as Rong Temple, Nuoc Temple, Gia Mieu Communal House, Trieu Tuong Temple, Nguyen Huu Family Temple (Ha Long Commune), Song Son Temple (Quang Trung Ward), Tran Hung Dao Temple (Hoat Giang Commune), Kim Son Mountain National Scenic Landscape Complex (Bien Thuong Commune)... to form attractive tourist tours", Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Tong Son Commune Le The Manh added.
