Attending the program were comrade Huynh Quoc Viet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province; comrade Ho Thanh Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; along with comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches and many artisans and amateurs.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet awarded A prizes to 3 groups participating in the festival.
This year's festival gathered more than 100 artists and amateurs from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region such as An Giang , Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Can Tho City and the host unit Ca Mau. The teams brought many rich performances, expressing the traditional beauty of the art of Southern amateur music - an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO.
Comrade Ho Thanh Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Phan Thanh Duy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, awarded individual A prizes to the actors.
Comrade Huynh Huu Tri, Standing Committee Member, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and Comrade Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, awarded individual B prizes to actors participating in the festival.
Speaking at the program, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Quoc Thanh highly appreciated the spirit of exchange, learning and careful preparation of the participating groups. He emphasized that each song and instrument expressed passion, creativity and was a testament to the enduring vitality of the art of Don ca tai tu in the spiritual life of the people of the South.
Meritorious Artist Master Huynh Khai, Head of the Jury, commented on the performances participating in the Festival.
In addition to summarizing the festival, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also proposed many orientations to develop the art of Don ca tai tu in Ca Mau in the coming time: expanding the amateur movement at the grassroots level; strengthening the activities of clubs; forming "amateur corners" at key tourist destinations; supporting artisans to pass on their skills to the younger generation; promoting digital media to spread the image of Ca Mau culture; researching and developing policies to support artisans; and developing tourism products bearing the imprint of amateurs associated with experiences and cuisine.
Little Ha Linh, from the Ca Mau Amateur Music Team, performed the Lien Nam song "Bac Lieu rendezvous" and won the A prize.
Meritorious Artist Thanh Tung, Can Tho City's Amateur Music Team, performed vọng cổ 16: Cao Van Lau's Confessions, won A prize.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 11 A prizes and 14 B prizes for individuals; 3 A prizes and 3 B prizes for groups to 6 teams participating in the festival. Notably, the Ca Mau team won 6 A prizes, including 2 group prizes and 4 individual prizes.
