Recently, some information in the press reflected on flooding at the Ho Reserve Warehouse, An Hung Commune, An Duong District (now An Hung Ward, Hong Bang District), Hai Phong City. Regarding this issue, the Department of State Reserves said that the Ho Reserve Warehouse belongs to Kien An Sub-Department of State Reserves, the Department of State Reserves in the Northeast region, the General Department of State Reserves (now the Sub-Department of State Reserves in Region III, the Department of State Reserves), was built in the 1960s.

After many years of use, due to the impact of changes in construction activities in the surrounding area, the foundation of the Ho warehouse is lower than the foundation of National Highway 5A and the foundation of houses in the residential area, leading to difficulty in drainage and easy flooding when it rains.

The warehouse of the Regional Reserve Department III has stopped operating and has no national reserve goods.

The Ho warehouse has stopped operating and will not be used to preserve national reserve goods since 2022. This warehouse has seriously degraded, the office building, warehouse, and structures have fully depreciated and are not included in the planning of national reserve warehouses according to Decision No. 403/QD-BTC dated June 10, 2013 of the Minister of Finance .

The Department of State Treasury has reported to the Ministry of Finance on the plan to handle and rearrange the housing and land facilities of the Ho warehouse to transfer to local management according to regulations.

Currently, the Department of State Reserves is coordinating with units of the Ministry of Finance, the Department of Finance, the Department of Construction and relevant agencies of Hai Phong City to conduct inventory and inspection of the current status of the warehouse according to regulations to carry out the handover.

Immediately upon receiving information from the press, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Region III to urgently coordinate with local authorities to inspect, survey and have a plan to handle and overcome the flooding situation at the Warehouse Point, not to affect the surrounding environmental sanitation.
