NDO – On August 29, the Thanh Hoa 500kV Transformer Station will be officially inaugurated along with the entire 500kV line 3 Quang Trach-Pho Noi, marking an important turning point in upgrading the power infrastructure of the North Central region, as well as enhancing the ability to safely transmit electricity from the central region to the north.
Thanh Hoa 500kV transformer station is one of the important component projects of the 500kV line circuit 3 from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).
Located in Thieu Tien and Thieu Phuc communes, Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province, the 500kV Thanh Hoa transformer station is located in the middle of the entire 500kV Quang Trach-Pho Noi transmission line project and plays the role of a connecting node with the 500kV circuit 3 grid project extending from Quang Binh to Hung Yen.

For the 220kV connection line, a new 4-circuit line about 7.5km long will be built from the 500kV Thanh Hoa Transformer Station to the connection point on the 220kV Nong Cong-Thanh Hoa lines. |
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Deputy Director of the Central Power Project Management Board, during the implementation process, the project encountered some challenges when handing over the site which was a large swamp, so the leveling volume was nearly 459 thousand m3, the construction time was urgent, and the weather was erratic.
But with the strong direction of the Prime Minister and the involvement of Thanh Hoa provincial authorities, the site was soon handed over and problems were resolved so that the units could organize construction.

Engineers and workers work in “3 shifts, 4 shifts” on site to ensure every final stage is completed on schedule and with quality. |
With a large amount of work to ensure progress, the construction unit must simultaneously implement all items in parallel.
Up to now, the entire project has been completed and energized 2 months ago.

For the non-electrical part, the construction unit is still completing the final stages, ensuring the inauguration will be held tomorrow as directed by the Prime Minister. |
Constructed and completed in just 5 months and 10 days (construction started on January 18, 2024), the construction of the Thanh Hoa 500kV Transformer Station has shown the high determination and great efforts of EVN and EVNNPT at the construction site.
To complete the project on schedule, there are always a large number of staff, engineers and workers participating at the construction site, with great professionalism and effort to contribute to the success of the project.
