According to the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, in the first months of 2025, the province's industrial parks have attracted many businesses to survey, research, and decide on investment. Since the beginning of 2025, the industrial parks have attracted 36 new projects, with a total newly granted and increased capital of nearly 759 million USD and over 3,387 billion VND. Thereby, the total number of current projects in the province's industrial parks has increased to 667 projects (including 386 FDI projects, 281 domestic projects) with a total capital of over 7.1 billion USD and over 58,300 billion VND. With this result, attracting FDI projects in industrial parks increased by approximately 50% compared to the same period in 2024, making Ha Nam continue to be in the top provinces and cities nationwide in attracting FDI.
Among the new investment projects from the beginning of 2025 to present in the province's industrial parks, there are many large-scale projects such as: Wistron Property Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) with an investment capital of 143 million USD (construction of social housing); Red Board Technology Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) with an investment capital of 110 million USD (production of high-precision circuit boards); Casla Kitchenware Joint Stock Company with an investment capital of 1,200 billion VND (production of kitchen equipment and metal products related to kitchenware)...
Mr. Nguyen Viet Thao, General Director of Casla Kitchenware Joint Stock Company, said: Casla has invested in the province and achieved certain success in the field of artificial quartz stone production and supermarket bags at Chau Son Industrial Park (Phu Ly city). A favorable and safe investment and business environment is a prerequisite for businesses to continuously invest in finance, technology, equipment, expand production scale, and diversify investment fields in the province. The project to produce kitchen equipment and metal products related to kitchenware is proof. With a total investment of 1,200 billion VND, the project will be implemented at Thai Ha Industrial Park (Ly Nhan district), including 2 phases. In phase I, Casla will produce knives of all kinds with a scale of over 83 million products/year; phase II aims to produce pots, pans of all kinds, tableware of all kinds with a scale of 240,000 sets/year. The company's products will serve domestic consumption and export to foreign markets.
The above results are due to the fact that in recent times, the province has innovated and flexibly implemented investment promotion activities effectively, especially in countries with strengths in developing high-tech industries, the world's leading economic groups in the fields of electricity, electronics, semiconductor chips, etc. In 2024 alone, the province organized nearly ten investment promotion delegations in the following countries: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan (China), the US, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia and some European countries. Through investment promotion activities, in 2024, many cooperation agreements, memorandums of understanding, and investment commitments in the province's industrial parks were signed, creating favorable conditions for attracting new investment projects in the first months of 2025.
Along with that, every year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee organize meetings and dialogues with businesses in the province to listen to their opinions, share and propose, thereby finding timely solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses. Thanks to that, in addition to the positive results achieved in attracting new investment projects, the investment attraction "picture" of the province in the first months of 2025 also recorded a bright spot when there were up to 18 projects adjusting to increase capital with a total additional capital of over 294.7 million USD and 243 billion VND. This shows that, in the investment process in the province, businesses basically operate effectively in production and business. The constantly expanding consumer market has created opportunities for businesses to strengthen production lines and expand their scale of operations.
Mr. Luu Tran Son, Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, affirmed: Ha Nam province has been steadfastly and persistently choosing to attract high-tech industrial projects, supporting industries, processing and manufacturing with advanced technology, modern management, and high added value to the province's industrial parks. The province always ensures the readiness of land and human resources; actively reforms administrative procedures; at the same time, pays attention to building houses for experts and workers; creates favorable conditions for granting work permits to foreigners; renovates and connects traffic in the area... Thereby, in order to support, quickly and promptly resolve difficulties, accompany investors in the process of completing procedures and production and business activities in the province.
Ha Nam province strives to achieve the goal of attracting 1 billion USD of FDI capital in 2025. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the province attracted 500 million USD. This is a good start for the province to soon complete and exceed the set plan. To increase attractiveness to investors, Ha Nam province actively directs the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to coordinate with sectors and localities to focus on developing infrastructure connecting with industrial parks; planning and building social housing areas to serve foreign experts and workers; always ready infrastructure, clean land fund, energy, human resources to attract large investment projects. For new projects, the province directs departments, sectors and localities to pay attention, grasp and promptly remove difficulties for enterprises, especially in site clearance, administrative procedure reform, reducing costs for enterprises in the process of completing investment procedures, helping enterprises to soon come into operation.
