Conference on promoting investment and tourism development in Ha Nam province in 2025

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, introduced the general potential, advantages, and strong growth of Ha Nam tourism. Accordingly, Ha Nam province currently has over 200 accommodation establishments with more than 4,000 rooms, including 2 5-star hotels and a luxury hotel of BRG Group that is being completed. Tam Chuc tourist area has been approved by the Prime Minister as a national tourist area, and is currently the focus of attracting domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, Ha Nam has 12 recognized tourist destinations, contributing to the formation of an increasingly diverse tourism product ecosystem.

According to the plan, Ha Nam will have 4 golf courses, of which 2 golf courses have officially come into operation, making sports tourism, especially golf tourism, a new, high-class product, attracting high-end domestic and international visitors. In the first 5 months of 2025, the province welcomed nearly 6 million visitors, with revenue reaching nearly 4,500 billion VND. Notably, for 2 consecutive years (2023 and 2024), Ha Nam was honored by the World Travel Awards with the titles of "World's Leading Local Cultural Destination", "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination" and was awarded the "Special Achievement Award".

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that in the coming time, Ha Nam will continue to orient the development of rural tourism, based on the effective exploitation of traditional cultural values and typical landscapes of the Northern countryside. Thereby, contributing to the shift of economic structure from agriculture to services, creating jobs, improving income and quality of life for people; making Ha Nam a civilized, friendly, high-quality destination, with typical tourism products, bearing its own identity.

The conference listened to the opinions, orientations, exchanges, and deep, passionate sharing of the leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, experts, scientists, managers, investors and businesses for Ha Nam; in which many opinions expressed interest and expectations for cooperation and sustainable development of Ha Nam's tourism industry in the coming time.

In his closing speech at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Truong Quoc Huy expressed his sincere thanks for the opinions on the strategic orientation of tourism development of the leaders of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration; the attention of experts, businesses, and investors for tourism in Ha Nam province. At the same time, he affirmed that Ha Nam will fully absorb the valuable opinions of the delegates at the conference. On the basis of promoting the achieved results, with the determination to overcome limitations and difficulties, Ha Nam province will focus on leading, directing drastically and synchronously the tasks and solutions to promote tourism development, focusing on completing and effectively implementing the approved plans, projects, and schemes, especially the Master Plan for Tourism Development of Ha Nam Province to 2030, with a vision to 2050; Master Plan for the Development of Tam Chuc National Tourist Area, Ha Nam Province to 2030; Planning of areas and spots with potential for tourism development.

Along with that, focus on mobilizing resources to build synchronous infrastructure, from transport infrastructure, tourism infrastructure, industrial park infrastructure, commercial infrastructure, information infrastructure; orienting the development space of Ha Nam - Nam Dinh - Ninh Binh region, constantly improving the investment and business environment and enhancing competitiveness, especially building policies and mechanisms to encourage businesses and people to invest in tourism development, new tourism products, with Ha Nam tourism characteristics, attracting domestic and foreign tourists; creating favorable conditions, prioritizing investment in tourism human resource development; supporting, connecting, encouraging organizations and individuals to train and foster tourism human resources in the province; organizing market research, collecting information and trends of tourists; building tourism promotion and advertising programs suitable for each stage and target group, especially international tourist markets; Promote digital transformation, apply science and technology in management, promotion, service and product provision in the tourism sector...

Within the framework of the program, delegates visited the exhibition area of beautiful Ha Nam tourism photos; images of the province's investment attraction and promotion activities in recent years; visited the exhibition introducing typical OCOP products of Ha Nam province.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development with partners including corporations, businesses, travel clubs, universities and colleges across the country. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces: Quang Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang.

The conference on promoting investment in tourism development in Ha Nam province in 2025 is one of the typical events, contributing significantly to the success of the Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2025. This is an opportunity for Ha Nam province to continue affirming its orientation of developing tourism into an important economic sector and an opportunity to promote its potential, strengths, and preferential investment policies in the field of tourism and services; introduce outstanding values, unique products, and attractive destinations of Ha Nam to domestic and foreign investors. The event also aims to promote linkages and cooperation in tourism development, creating favorable conditions for businesses to expand their markets, build diverse tours and routes to attract domestic and international tourists.
