Bright spots from examples of good people and good deeds in the Bac Lieu Provincial Police force

Right from the beginning of the year, the Party Committee and leaders of the Provincial Police launched the emulation movement "For the security of the Fatherland" to the Police of all units and localities and 100% of officers and soldiers in the entire force to implement, associated with the slogan of action "Building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Police". Thereby, many outstanding collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded by all levels and sectors. Specifically, in the first quarter of 2024, 70 collectives and 231 individuals were awarded many Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security , the Provincial People's Committee, and the Director of the Provincial Police. In addition, more and more officers and soldiers have appeared with meaningful deeds to help the people, creating a beautiful image of the Bac Lieu Provincial Police soldiers who are brave, humane, and serve the people.

Typically, at around 1:00 a.m. on February 15, 2024, while patrolling and controlling National Highway 1A, through Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu province, the Working Group of the Traffic Police Department of Bac Lieu Provincial Police noticed a woman showing signs of stroke and high blood pressure. At this time, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuong Anh, Deputy Team Leader (Team Leader of the working shift) immediately coordinated with the surrounding people to perform initial first aid and drove a special vehicle to transport the patient to the hospital, promptly providing emergency care and treatment for the patient.

Or before that, at about 04:50 on February 7, 2024, while participating in the Traffic Control Patrol Team on National Highway 1A, through Ho Phong Ward, Gia Rai Town, Major Chau Van Den, an officer of the Propaganda Team, Investigation and Handling of Traffic Accidents and Violations, Traffic Police Department of Bac Lieu Provincial Police, picked up a wallet containing many types of personal documents in the names of HTNB and HVN, along with more than 13 million VND. Major Chau Van Den quickly coordinated with Ho Phong Ward Police to verify and contact Ms. B and Mr. N to promptly return all documents and assets.

Colonel Bui Xuan Khoi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, awarded a Certificate of Merit and praised the good deed of Major Chau Van De.

Not only dedicated and responsible in helping people, many individuals and groups of Bac Lieu Provincial Police also demonstrated intelligence and courage in fighting crime, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, participating in fire prevention, fire fighting, and rescue in the area... Typically, at 03:40 on February 24, 2024, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department received a report of a fire at the Phone Components Center on Tran Phu Street, Ward 7, Bac Lieu City. The unit immediately dispatched 04 fire fighting and rescue vehicles and 23 officers and soldiers to participate in the rescue. After more than 30 minutes, the force extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading to surrounding businesses, and successfully rescued 01 victim trapped in the attic.

Or in the case of Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Hanh, an overseas Vietnamese in the US, she wrote a letter of thanks to the Criminal Police of Bac Lieu Provincial Police for quickly verifying and recovering the property for her family. Accordingly, around the beginning of December 2023, Ms. Hanh returned to Vietnam to attend her biological father's funeral in Chau Hung town, Vinh Loi district. While cleaning the house after the funeral, Ms. Hanh took off some jewelry (03 platinum rings with diamonds, 01 18k gold ring with marble) and put it in a tissue on the table, the total value of the property was over 700 million VND. However, after cleaning up, she discovered that the jewelry was missing, so she went to the police to report it. During the process of verifying the information, the Criminal Police determined that the above property was not stolen by someone else but was carelessly thrown away with the trash by the family. Therefore, they assigned forces to search and quickly found the property and returned it to the family.

Officers of the Criminal Police Force, Bac Lieu Provincial Police completed the procedures and returned the property to Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Hanh.

The silent and meaningful humane actions clearly demonstrate the attitude, spirit and responsibility of the Bac Lieu Provincial Police force in serving the people. This is always recognized by the people, expressed through sincere letters of thanks sent to the Police force. It creates a source of encouragement and motivation for officers and soldiers to continue to actively train, strive and successfully complete the political tasks assigned by the Party, the Industry and the People.

Actively responding to community activities, Bac Lieu Provincial Police regularly coordinate with philanthropists to do a good job of poverty reduction in the locality. In the first quarter of 2024, the provincial police force built and handed over 03 rural traffic bridges, 09 charity houses; regularly visited, cared for, and supported Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, families of war invalids and martyrs; provided capital support, presented thousands of gifts to poor households, students who overcome difficulties to study, etc. At the same time, social security work is linked with launching a movement for the whole people to protect national security; actively propagandize and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and propagate methods and tricks of criminals, thereby raising people's vigilance, actively participating in detecting, fighting, and denouncing crimes, contributing with the police force in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.

The good deeds and beautiful actions imbued with the affection of the Bac Lieu Police force towards people in difficult circumstances have contributed to further strengthening the close bond between the People and the Army.
