Ho Chi Minh City 10th grade exam scores: English 10 score is less than 1/3 of last year

The score distribution of the 10th grade foreign language exam (mainly English) announced by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training shows that scores from 9 and above have decreased significantly compared to last year's exam.

The score distribution of the 10th grade foreign language exam (mainly English) announced by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is:

• 488 candidates scored 10 points
• 1,028 candidates scored 9.75 points
• 1,094 candidates scored 9.5 points
• 1,826 candidates scored 9.25 points
• 2,101 candidates scored 9 points

Of which, 7.25 is the score most candidates achieved with 3,143 students.

Comparing with the English score distribution of the 10th grade entrance exam in 2024, the number of candidates achieving the same score this year is only 1/3 compared to the number of candidates last year.

For example, in 2025, there were 488 candidates who achieved the maximum score, while in 2024 there were 1,707 candidates. This year, there were 1,028 candidates who achieved 9.75 points, while last year there were 3,158...

At the same time, last year 9 was the score that most candidates achieved with 3,943 students, this year the most candidates achieved a score of 7.25.

This year's 10th grade entrance exam had 76,154 candidates participating, a decrease of more than 22,000 candidates compared to 2024.
