Women are given priority to rent social housing in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City has just issued new regulations on the priority order of subjects eligible to rent social housing built by the State in the area. This regulation aims to ensure the allocation of this type of housing is fair, reasonable and "hits" the subjects who really need it.

Accordingly, for the first time, the city added two groups: women and "dynamic, daring to think and do" officials to the priority list for renting social housing.

In particular, women are ranked in the top priority group, along with people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, people with disabilities and people who are resettled in the form of buying or renting social housing.

As for "dare to think and dare to do" cadres, they are in the priority group, after poor and near-poor households in rural and urban areas and places affected by natural disasters and climate. The last priority group in the city's social housing rental category is cadres, workers and civil servants.

This policy is effective from March 12. Order of subjects

"Ghost in the Palace" - a horror film starring Kha Nhu and Quang Tuan - surpassed the 100 billion VND mark after eight days of release.

On the afternoon of March 16, the film reached 110 billion VND according to Box Office Vietnam, making it the fastest-selling Vietnamese horror film ever. The film is predicted to surpass Ma da (revenue of 127 billion VND) to become the most popular horror project in the domestic market.

Many Vietnamese films have continuously conquered the hundred billion mark since the beginning of the year. The Four Guardians (Tran Thanh) earned 332 billion VND, entering the top 5 most popular projects at Vietnamese cinemas. The Billionaire Kiss earned more than 200 billion VND, making Thu Trang the first female director to earn 100 billion VND. Number of young South Koreans choosing not to work continues to rise

Statistics Korea released on March 16 that as of the end of February, a total of 1.2 million people aged 15-29 were unemployed or not participating in economic activities, up from 1.1 million in 2024.

Of those, 504,000 were absent from work without a specific reason, the highest number since Statistics Korea began compiling the data in 2003.

The number of unemployed young people looking for work was 269,000 last month, up 2% from the same month last year.

Experts say that a slowing economy, weak domestic consumer demand and companies' tendency to prioritize hiring experienced workers are the reasons why many young people have difficulty finding jobs.
