The average score of the 12th grade student quality survey (phase 1) is 5.33 points.

To improve the quality of the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) has just organized a quality survey for 12th grade high school students (phase 1) of the 2023-2024 school year at 58 survey councils with 16,024 students registered to take the survey, of which, public high schools: 10,738 students; private high schools: 2,736 students; continuing education facilities: 2,550 students.

Students studying under the high school education program will take 4 tests, including 3 independent tests: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and choose 1 of 2 combined tests: Natural Science (combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Science (combination of History, Geography, Civic Education); students studying under the GDTX program will take 3 tests, including 2 independent tests: Math, Literature and choose 1 of 2 combined tests: Natural Science (combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Science (combination of History, Geography).

As a result, the average score of the whole province was 5.33 points, 0.21 points higher than the first survey of the 2022-2023 school year; 1.15 points lower than the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. The overall results of the whole province and all types (public, private, and continuing education) all increased; the average score was higher than the same period of the first survey of the 2022-2023 school year.

Through the survey to evaluate the teaching and learning results of high schools and continuing education centers at high school level; help units grasp the teaching and learning results up to the present time, on that basis, have practical and appropriate solutions in teaching and learning of the main curriculum, organize review to improve the quality of the 2024 High School Graduation Exam; at the same time, help the team of managers and teachers improve their exam-taking skills, the process of organizing the 2024 High School Graduation Exam and train students' test-taking skills.
