Dien Ban supports farmers with nearly 250 million VND to produce new rice varieties | QUANG NAM ONLINE NEWSPAPER

(QNO) - This summer-autumn crop 2023, Dien Ban town spent more than 249 million VND to support farmers in some localities to produce new rice varieties to improve productivity and economic efficiency.

According to the Dien Ban agricultural sector, this summer-autumn year, local farmers will sow 5,300 hectares of rice. In particular, the main structure is varieties with a growing period of less than 105 days, mainly Ha Phat 3, TBR225, DT100, HT1, HN6, BC15, Bac Thinh.

In order to help farmers increase productivity and economic value per unit area, this season, the People's Committee of Dien Ban town supported 4 communes and wards including Dien Tien, Dien Hoa, Dien Minh, Dien Thang Bac to build many models of producing new rice varieties with a total area of ​​125.3 hectares. Of which, DT100 rice variety is more than 105.5 hectares and Ha Phat 3 rice variety is nearly 20 hectares.

The total investment capital for the models in the four localities mentioned above is nearly 499 million VND. The support fund for rice seeds and NPK fertilizer is more than 249 million VND.
