
The Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) Quang Nam branch identifies digital transformation as an inevitable requirement, so it actively deploys digital technology applications throughout the Quang Nam system.
The Bank has developed a digital banking model applied to policy credit products, providing safe and convenient banking services, increasing management utilities and adding experiences for the poor and policies.
With the implementation of policy credit management applications, those working in policy credit management such as credit officers, heads of savings and loan groups, chairmen of commune-level People's Committees... can promptly monitor and grasp the reality of policy credit activities under management.
The policy credit management application is a software that operates on smart devices using Android and IOS operating systems, functioning as an electronic handbook, providing information on policy credit activities and performing related operations.
Mr. Truong Ngoc Vien - Head of the Savings and Credit Group in Phu Binh village (Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky city) said that in the group, there are 58 households borrowing preferential loans with a total outstanding debt of more than 2.6 billion VND.
Currently, with the application of credit policy management on mobile devices, Mr. Vien can easily look up data on loans of group members, especially information on the deadlines for group members to pay monthly interest, repay principal, and deposit savings of each member.

"Safe, accurate, and convenient in terms of time, the policy credit management application is very useful in the management of policy credit trust capital," said Mr. Vien.
Ms. Mai Thi Bich Phuong (Phu Binh village, Tam Phu commune) said that she is borrowing 100 million VND from the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Nam branch to invest in clean water and environmental sanitation (50 million VND) and grocery business (50 million VND).
Ms. Phuong said that in the past, to learn about the number of times to pay principal and interest on a loan as well as preferential credit policies, one had to go directly to the commune transaction point or meet with a policy credit officer.
Since the bank deployed the VBSP SmartBanking application, it is possible to pay interest and principal on time; learn about credit policy programs anytime, anywhere without having to go to the commune transaction point, saving time and travel costs.
Mr. Hoang Thanh Lan - Deputy Director of the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Nam branch, said that applying digital technology helps the policy bank improve service quality, diversify products and services, help poor households, and implement cashless payment policies.
That is how the Social Policy Bank, Quang Nam branch, promotes the digital financial ecosystem, contributing to the successful implementation of the digital transformation goal of the policy bank in particular and the entire banking industry in general.
