Impressions of the Fine Arts and Photography Exhibition “Quang Nam - 50 years of new day colors and fragrances”

(QNO) - This morning, May 22, the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Association held the opening ceremony of the Fine Arts and Photography Exhibition with the theme "Quang Nam - 50 years of new colors and fragrances" at 5 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tam Ky City.

The exhibition aims to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art and the literature and art career of Quang Nam province after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Attending the exhibition were Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, representatives of the Provincial Military Command, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City, the Fine Arts Association of Quang Ngai Province and many artists of the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Association.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Bich - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association said that 50 years after the liberation of the country, especially after the re-establishment of the province in 1997, the team of artists continued to create with hundreds of works winning regional, national and international awards, contributing to widely promoting the land and people of Quang Nam. This exhibition has 76 works by authors who are members of the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Association in 2 majors: fine arts and photography. The exhibition time is from the opening day to May 28, 2025.

Visiting the exhibition, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thi Thuy Dung was impressed with the fine arts and photography works, which deeply reflect the culture and development of Quang Nam in recent times.

Admiring the work "Am vang Tra My" by author Kieu Nhat San, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung hopes that if the conditions are right, the author can display the work at the Cultural Square of Bac Tra My district, to widely promote the traditional beauty of the highland people.

Author Kieu Nhat San said that "Tra My Echo" was inspired by village elder Ho Van Dinh in Tra Bui commune, Bac Tra My district, with his efforts to preserve the traditional culture of the Ca Dong people. In the near future, if conditions permit, he hopes to display the work in Tra Bui commune. Thereby contributing to spreading the traditional values ​​of the people here as well as efforts to preserve the indigenous cultural values ​​of the community against the risk of extinction.

In the photo exhibition area, photographic works are vividly arranged, with many shooting angles showing the new vitality of Quang Nam in the development process. Some notable works include "New vitality on Phu Ninh", "Under the lights", "Golden season on Ngoc Linh peak"...

In particular, the photo series "After the storm and flood" of the Provincial Military Command depicts the deep military-civilian relationship, helping people overcome the consequences of the storm, joining hands to clean up mud in Hoi An City to ensure timely hosting of APEC events in 2017.
