Speed up the progress of urban beautification along canals and ditches

On July 28, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong directed the Urban Remodeling Project for residential areas on and along canals and ditches in the wards of Chanh Hung, Phu Dinh, and Binh Dong in the period of 2025-2030.

Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong assigned the People's Committees of Chanh Hung, Phu Dinh and Binh Dong wards to review and adjust the overall 1/2000 scale zoning plan to match the new administrative boundaries. The adjustment dossier must be completed and submitted to the Department of Construction before October 31, for appraisal and submission to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval before November 15, 2025.

The Department of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to review the proposal of the People's Committee of Binh Dong Ward on capital allocation for compensation, resettlement and land acquisition projects in the first phase. The capital allocation is part of the medium-term public investment plan for 2026-2030, ensuring no duplication and synchronous and unified implementation.

The Department of Construction reviews the list of social housing and resettlement projects in the above wards and sends it to the Department of Finance to balance and arrange medium-term public investment capital.

With the Project to renovate riverside and canal housing areas throughout the city in the period of 2025 - 2030, the Department of Construction urgently reviewed and supplemented the scope of implementation with new administrative units.
