Pho Yen City: Supporting craft villages to develop production

In Pho Yen City, there are currently 32 craft villages and traditional craft villages (mainly tea, fine art, rattan and bamboo) recognized by the province, with over 3,500 households participating in production and business. Currently, craft villages are creating jobs for more than 7,800 rural workers (an increase of more than 300 workers compared to the end of 2024), with an average income of over 6 million VND/person/month (an increase of nearly 1 million VND compared to the end of 2024).

Currently, craft villages in Pho Yen city are creating jobs for more than 7,800 rural workers, with an average income of over 6 million VND/person/month.

To facilitate the development of craft villages, in the period of 2021-2025, the People's Committee of Pho Yen City has supported people in craft villages to plant over 140 hectares of new tea, with a budget of more than 1.6 billion VND; supported water-saving irrigation points for 350 hectares of tea, with an amount of over 5.2 billion VND; supported VietGAP certification for 250 hectares of tea, with a budget of 1.5 billion VND...

Previously, from the province's Industrial Promotion Fund, Pho Yen City supported the transfer of modern machinery and equipment to 8 wooden furniture manufacturing establishments in Gia Trung Carpentry Village (Tien Phong Ward) and Cam Tra Fine Arts Wooden Furniture Village (Trung Thanh Ward), with a budget of more than 2 billion VND; supported automatic tea packaging machines, electric and gas tea roasting machines for people, businesses, and cooperatives in the craft village, with a budget of more than 1.5 billion VND...

People of the traditional tea craft village of Lay 5 hamlet, Minh Duc commune (Pho Yen city) proactively use machines to process and package tea products.
