In Vietnam, according to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), in the first 15 days of May, businesses exported nearly 63,000 tons of robusta coffee, earning about 345 million USD, an increase of 83% in output and 155% in value compared to the same period last year.

One notable point is the strong breakthrough of foreign-invested enterprises in exporting green coffee. The market share of this group has skyrocketed to nearly 40%, while previously it only fluctuated around 30%.

Most notably, Louis Dreyfus Company Vietnam (LDC) Trading and Processing Company Limited has risen to the top of exports. Meanwhile, the two domestic enterprises that usually hold the top positions, Intimex and Vinh Hiep, have fallen to third and fourth places, respectively.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market fell sharply on two exchanges:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery in July 2025: Down 118 USD/ton, to 4,785 USD/ton.

Delivery September 2025: Down 103 USD/ton, to 4,786 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 10.65 cents/lb, to 359.65 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 9.95 cents/lb, to 357.5 cents/lb.

The U.S. dollar index (DXY) fell to a two-week low, helping to fuel short-covering in coffee futures, but gains were capped by rising ICE-monitored coffee inventories.

Robusta stocks tracked by ICE hit an eight-month high of 5,341 lots, while arabica stocks also rose to 876,019 bags, the highest in three and a half months.

Coffee prices have been under pressure over the past three weeks due to the prospect of increased production. According to the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), Brazil’s coffee production in 2025–26 is expected to reach 65 million bags, up slightly by 0.5%. Vietnam is forecast to increase more sharply, reaching 31 million bags, up 6.9% from the previous season.
