Dien Bien has a new Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee

Kinhtedothi - Dien Bien Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Lo Van Cuong to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On the afternoon of March 7, the People's Council of Dien Bien province, term XV, 2021-2026, held the 19th session to review and decide on many important contents related to socio -economic development and personnel work.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Lo Van Tien from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee due to his request for medical leave.

The Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Lo Van Cuong to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, with the high consensus of 42/42 delegates present.

Mr. Lo Van Cuong was born in 1975, his hometown is Chieng So commune, Dien Bien Dong district; he has a university degree in land management. Mr. Cuong is a delegate of the 15th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term. Before being elected as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Cuong held the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

At the meeting, the People's Council of Dien Bien province also passed a Resolution on supplementing the 2025 budget revenue and expenditure estimates from foreign non-refundable aid in the form of revenue and expenditure recording.

Accordingly, the estimated revenue from foreign non-refundable aid capital is added to the provincial budget with an amount of more than 34 billion VND. The estimated expenditure for the Department of Health from this capital source is added to implement projects, including: the emergency aid project for children and mothers to help recover from the damage caused by super typhoon No. 3 Yagi, sponsored by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), with an amount of 32.2 billion VND; the pilot project to purchase HIV/AIDS prevention and control services with social organizations, phase 2, with an amount of about 2 billion VND.
