Green digital transformation: Both a challenge and an opportunity

The forum with the theme “Green digital transformation – Driving force for economic and social development” was organized by the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City in collaboration with the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA). According to Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, the theme of the forum focuses on one of the most important and key factors of the transition process, which is green transition. This is both a challenge and an opportunity, a driving force for development.

Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, delivered the opening speech of the forum.

“ The forum is an opportunity for Hai Phong City to have a deeper and more comprehensive perspective on digital transformation and green transformation; an opportunity for all levels, sectors and businesses to connect and share experiences on products and technological solutions serving the construction of digital government, digital economy and digital society in the city,” said Mr. Cuong.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Giang, Vice President and General Secretary of VINASA, said that Hai Phong is a unique city with many advantages and room for development.

“The areas that Hai Phong is focusing on are also the areas where Vietnamese technology enterprises have experience, solutions and resources to implement, ” said Ms. Giang.

Quick planning lookup thanks to AI

Citing an example from the latest planning lookup map platform Meey Map developed by Meey Group, Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh shared: Before deciding to buy, sell or invest in real estate, people often have to go to the land registration office to look up whether the real estate is in the planning area or not? This lookup usually takes 2-4 days, is time-consuming and costly. However, with Meey Map, people only need 2-3 seconds to grasp the current status of the land plot.

“Our system integrates annual land use planning maps, orientation land planning maps and construction planning maps (general planning, zoning planning, detailed planning). Digitizing the planning information lookup process helps people have accurate and updated information, helping them to be proactive in the investment, buying and selling process as well as stabilizing their housing,” Mr. Tuan Anh shared.

Notably, the Meey Map platform applies AI to each feature to support users. “ For example, the majority of real estate buyers are middle-aged, and sometimes they are confused about technological operations. However, Meey Group has simplified the presentation process using AI.

Users just need to use their phone camera to scan the information on the "red book" and the system will analyze it. AI also automatically scans the coordinates on the book (VN2000) and displays them on the Meey Map (Google coordinate system) ," Mr. Tuan Anh shared.

In addition, AI can automatically price real estate through data on location, area, house direction, frontage length, assets on land (number of rooms, number of floors)..., helping users to refer to before making a buying and selling decision.

“ This feature is not only useful for people and investors, but also very meaningful for other units such as valuation, banks, etc., ” said Mr. Tuan Anh.

Meey Atlas - creating "smart journey - convenient life"

Another very proud AI application product of Meey Group mentioned by Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh is Meey Atlas - Smart digital map for Vietnamese people.
