
The forum is considered the main event of the energy sector and is a place to discuss current issues in the development of the energy and fuel industry. A high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son will attend and have many important bilateral activities at the forum.
According to VNA correspondent in Moscow, before the forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to all delegates and guests. The Russian leader stressed that the forum has become one of the most prominent international events to discuss current issues related to energy and fuel, where leaders of leading enterprises and research institutes, politicians and experts from Russia and other countries assess trends and prospects of the fuel-energy industry, and exchange views on technological challenges facing the industry as well as environmental issues and climate change.

The main discussion topics of this year’s forum will focus on the immediate and long-term priorities of the oil, gas, coal and electricity sectors. Countries will share their experiences in strengthening technological sovereignty and digital transformation in the fuel and energy sectors.
The Russian President stressed that, even in the current complex geopolitical context, international energy cooperation will receive special attention, as it affects economic growth, scientific and technological progress, as well as the quality of life of people around the world. He believes that the recommendations made during the Russian Energy Week and the agreements reached on the sidelines of the event will contribute to strengthening cooperation in this strategic area and building a common prosperous future.

This year's forum is attended by 5,000 delegates from 84 countries and territories, including senior managers, owners of major energy companies, government officials and government representatives, experts, representatives of the academic and scientific community, and future leaders (students and young professionals). Over 70 events will also take place within the framework of the forum, with 28 major agreements expected to be signed.
In addition to the main agenda, there is an exhibition program presenting Russia's energy achievements, the 4th Scientific and Practical Conference to discuss key issues in the scientific and technological development of complex fuel and energy industries, digital transformation, energy security, forecasting in the energy sector, statistics.
