On the morning of October 9, the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to organize a forum with the theme "Improving the value of winter crop production in 2025", attracting the participation of many functional units of the two departments, enterprises, representatives of cooperatives, and typical winter crop farmers in Hai Phong city.

After the merger, the new Hai Phong city has a winter crop growing area that is 3 times larger than the previous city, with more than 29,000 hectares; estimated output of 1 million tons/year with some key plants and vegetables such as: onions, garlic 7,050 hectares; carrots 1,260 hectares; cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower 4,140 hectares. Production value at actual prices reached about 6,902 billion VND, an average of 238 million VND/hectare.

At the forum, many delegates pointed out the advantages of developing winter crops, contributing to increasing income, economic efficiency and avoiding land waste, considered as the third "golden season" of farmers...
