Hundreds of blood units were donated by staff, workers and relatives of Hue Electricity.

Before this event, PC Hue promoted internal communication, calling for participation in many forms such as simultaneously changing the profile picture to the program's identity, mobilizing employees and their relatives to register to participate. Employees were also fully informed about the blood donation process, health precautions before, during and after donation to ensure safety.

Many employees shared their special feelings when donating blood for the first time or many times. Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hoang, an employee of the PC Hue Office, said: “This is the first time I donated blood, so I was very nervous, but also very emotional. When I think that my blood can help someone overcome a dangerous situation, I feel happy and want to continue to participate in blood donations in the future.”

Sharing the same sentiment, Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc and his wife - Deputy Head of Business Management Team, Phu Vang Electricity Management Team, who participated in donating blood this time, shared: "My husband and I both feel the meaning of contributing a small part to help patients in need of blood. Participating together helps us better understand the value of volunteer work and will continue to accompany the program."

At the end of the program, PC Hue staff donated 197 units of blood; Hue Power Transmission staff, local people and staff relatives donated 21 more units of blood, bringing the total number of blood units received in the event to 218 units. This is an important additional source contributing to ensuring emergency blood reserves, serving the treatment of patients in the area.

In addition to Hue Electricity staff participating, the program also called on relatives to volunteer to donate blood.

EVN Pink Week is a social security activity implemented annually by Vietnam Electricity Group, aiming to spread humanitarian gestures and the spirit of mutual love among workers in the Electricity industry. This is also a practical activity to support the increase of reserve blood sources, especially at the end of the year - the period when blood for treatment at hospitals is often in a state of scarcity. Through the program, thousands of hearts of EVN workers send hope to patients in need of blood for emergency and treatment.

The leaders of PC Hue said that not only responding to EVN Pink Week, PC Hue staff also actively participated in blood donation campaigns launched by the locality every year. Statistics show that for many years, PC Hue has always been in the group of units with a high number of union members and employees donating blood in the Electricity sector: in 2020, 131 units of blood were donated, in 2022, 149 units of blood were donated, in 2023, 157 units of blood were donated and in 2024, 193 units of blood were donated. Notably, in 2021 - when the COVID-19 epidemic was complicated, PC Hue staff still organized two emergency blood donation campaigns, contributing more than 247 units of blood to support patients.

“This year’s 11th EVN Red Week continues to affirm the spirit of sharing and community responsibility of workers in the Electricity industry in general and PC Hue employees in particular. Each drop of blood donated is a humane message from heart to heart, contributing to making life warmer and more meaningful,” said Mr. Nguyen Dai Phuc, Director of PC Hue.
