According to Android Authority , Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile , the mobile version of the popular battle royale game, has officially launched on Android and iOS. This is good news for Call of Duty fans who want to experience the dramatic battlefield of Verdansk on their smartphones.
However, to be able to play Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile smoothly, everyone needs to own a device with a relatively good configuration.
To play Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile you need a relatively good phone
According to Activision, players need an Android device with at least 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 618 GPU (equivalent to a Snapdragon 720G or higher) to play Warzone Mobile . Mid-range phones running the Snapdragon 720G have been released since 2020, so gamers are likely to experience it if they own a mid-range phone purchased in the last few years.
The game also runs well on the Pixel 7 Pro with its Mali GPU, suggesting that mid-range phones with MediaTek or Exynos chips will likely be able to experience Warzone Mobile as well.
The game's initial size is around 1.5GB on Android. However, gamers will need to download an additional 5GB of content to fully experience it. Warzone Mobile will also automatically download high-quality assets in the background during combat, allowing players to improve the visuals over time. However, the game currently does not allow manual loading of graphics assets, which may leave some players dissatisfied with the basic visual quality.
Graphics customization in Warzone Mobile is also quite limited. You can only choose from the available display quality settings (low, medium, high, very high, and maximum), and prioritize battery life or frame rate.
Notably, according to Apple's App Store notes, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad series with M1 chips or later can access the mobile shooter's maximum graphics options. The rest of the high-quality graphics options will be locked on devices with non-compliant configurations.
In terms of gameplay, Warzone Mobile will be familiar to Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile players. A big plus for the game is cross-progression support. This means that the experience and Battle Pass progress achieved on the mobile version will be synchronized with the Console/PC version of Warzone and Modern Warfare 3.
