The Provincial People's Committee has issued regulations on the area, location, and purpose of construction works directly serving agricultural production on rice-growing land.

This Decision stipulates the area, location, and purpose of construction works directly serving agricultural production on rice-growing land in Hai Duong province according to the provisions of Decree No. 112/2024/ND-CP dated September 11, 2024 of the Government detailing rice-growing land.

Accordingly, the rice-growing land area permitted for construction must be concentrated, with a minimum area of 50 hectares. Only one construction project can be built at one location on the rice-growing land area permitted for construction.

Maximum construction area of 500 m² for works serving the following purposes: preliminary processing and preservation of agricultural products (not for the purpose of drying rice); warehouse for storing agricultural materials, machinery, and labor tools; display and introduction of agricultural products.

With the above purpose of use and additional purpose of drying rice, the maximum construction area is 1,000 m².

These buildings are not for residential purposes and are not used for processing or preserving agricultural products produced in other areas.

Previously, construction of works serving agricultural production on rice-growing land was still allowed, but was subject to strict management and had to meet a number of specific conditions, depending on the legal regulations of each period.
