France According to the draw results on May 25, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are in the same semi-final bracket at Roland Garros 2023.
Djokovic begins his quest for a 23rd Grand Slam with a match against Aleksandar Kovacevic. If he wins, he will face either Marton Fucsovics or Hugo Grenier in the next round. Djokovic's potential opponent in the third round is 29th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
In the fourth round, the Serbian could face Roberto Bautista Agut or Hubert Hurkacz. Djokovic's biggest rival on the way to the semi-finals is seventh seed Andrey Rublev, who is likely to make the quarter-finals.

Carlos Alcaraz begins his Paris campaign against a qualifier, before facing either Christopher O'Connell or Taro Daniel. In the third round, the 20-year-old is likely to face 26th seed Denis Shapovalov. Alcaraz could face a fourth-round challenge, with Lorenzo Musetti or Cameron Norrie among his possible opponents.
Alcaraz is in the same quarterfinal draw as fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. But to get there, Tsitsipas will need to be the strongest player in a heavy draw, with names like Felix Auger-Aliassime, Sebastian Korda and Bernabe Zapata Miralles.
The other semi-final bracket consists of second seed Daniil Medvedev and fourth seed Casper Ruud. Medvedev has an easy first three rounds, before likely meeting Borna Coric in the fourth round, then Jannik Sinner or Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals.
In the women's singles, defending champion Iga Swiatek will face Coco Gauff in the quarter-finals. The top seed will face world number 67 Cristina Bucsa in her opening match. Swiatek has been in Paris for training after withdrawing from the Rome Masters with a thigh injury.
2023 Australian Open champion and second seed Aryna Sabalenka are in the same quarter-final draw as home hopeful Caroline Garcia. Other potential quarter-final pairings include Elena Rybakina vs Ons Jabeur and Jessica Pegula vs Maria Sakkari.
The main draw of Roland Garros starts on May 28, with 128 men and 128 women. Defending men's singles champion Rafael Nadal is absent due to physical problems, making Djokovic the only male player at the 2023 tournament who has won at Roland Garros (2016, 2021).
