The Central Inspection Commission's working delegation worked with the Standing Committee of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Party Committee.

On the morning of October 16, the Central Inspection Commission's working delegation led by comrade Ho Minh Chien, member of the Central Inspection Commission, worked with the Standing Committee of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Party Committee. Attending the meeting was comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council.

After 3 months of officially operating under the two-level local government model, the organizational structure of Phu Quoc special economic zone has been completed and put into operation in accordance with regulations, ensuring the maintenance of state management activities in the area and serving the people.

The People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone has directed the Public Administration Service Center to post the list of administrative procedures that have been received to help people easily access information. Accordingly, 21,670 records have been received, 16,642 records have been returned, and 3,074 records are being processed. Phu Quoc Special Zone has established 8 local working groups and 51 community technology groups in the neighborhoods.

At the meeting, Comrade Le Quoc Anh, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Party Committee, pointed out the difficulties in operating a two-level local government. For example, the large workload has overloaded Phu Quoc, many procedures have arisen in land management, the issuance of first-time land use right certificates to people has not been achieved and is slow. Many backlogs from previous years have been transferred. The Secretary of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Party Committee proposed that the province and the Central Government increase personnel for Phu Quoc.

Faced with the difficulties, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province, proposed that central ministries and branches support the construction of a suitable operating model, contributing to reducing pressure on Phu Quoc, especially before the APEC 2027 Conference.

Concluding the working session, comrade Ho Minh Chien, member of the Central Inspection Committee and head of the working delegation, highly appreciated the results achieved by Phu Quoc special economic zone. Since implementing the two-level government, Phu Quoc has had many solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles to operate the apparatus to meet the requirements of assigned tasks.

Comrade Ho Minh Chien and the working delegation noted the difficulties, problems, proposals and recommendations of the locality to fully report to competent authorities for consideration.

For areas under local authority, comrade Ho Minh Chien requested provincial leaders to direct solutions for Phu Quoc special economic zone.
