Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union

On the morning of October 17, the Women's Union of Khanh Hoa province held a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) and Vietnamese Women's Day. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Khac Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chamaléa Thi Thuy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and 300 delegates representing departments, branches, sectors, and organizations of the province; union leaders of all periods and cadres and women's union members in the province.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the 95-year tradition of growth and development of the Vietnam Women's Union; enjoyed special art performances by the Provincial Traditional Arts Theater in the traditional activity "Vietnamese Women - 95 years accompanying the country" to look back on the process of revolutionary struggle and building, protecting and developing the country of generations of Vietnamese women. At the same time, they followed information about the "Godmother" programs, activities to support women in economic development in recent times.

Accordingly, emulation movements, campaigns, and key programs of the association have attracted a large number of cadres, members, and women of all walks of life to participate, bringing practical results to social life. The association at all levels has secured more than 4,000 billion VND from banks to support more than 103,000 women to borrow capital for economic development; donated more than 1,000 means of livelihood worth more than 3 billion VND to women in difficult circumstances; mobilized more than 960 godmothers to support nearly 1,100 orphans and coordinated with units to award savings books, scholarships, bicycles, computers, medical examination and treatment programs for children... with a total value of more than 40 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Khac Ha praised and acknowledged the achievements that generations of Khanh Hoa women have achieved in the past time. He suggested that, in the coming time, all levels of the association join hands to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; strongly carry out digital transformation in the organization of the association and for its members; accompany women to improve digital capacity; support women in economic development, start-ups, application of science and technology and digital transformation in production and business. In addition, continue to pay attention to caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women and children; expand the "Godmother" program to continue supporting orphans; upgrade the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" to "5 no, 3 clean, 3 safe" as directed by General Secretary To Lam; Strengthen coordination with other sectors in protecting women and children from cybercrime, gender-based violence, human trafficking, etc.
