Kasetsart University delegation had cultural exchange in Ha Linh commune

(Baohatinh.vn) - A delegation from Kasetsart University (Kingdom of Thailand) visited and had cultural exchanges in Tan Kieu village and visited economic models in Ha Linh commune (Ha Tinh).

Continuing the working trip in Ha Tinh, on the afternoon of October 21, a delegation from Kasetsart University - Chalermphrakiat campus, Sakon Nakhon province (Kingdom of Thailand) led by Associate Professor, Dr. Passakorn Ongarj, Assistant Principal visited Tan Kieu village and toured economic models in Ha Linh commune.

Comrade Duong Tat Thang - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee accompanied the delegation.

The working delegation visited a number of economic models in the area.

The delegation listened to the representative of Ha Linh commune introduce Tan Kieu village - where the residents are all descendants of overseas Vietnamese in Thailand, who returned home following the call of President Ho Chi Minh ; at the same time, they gave an overview of the natural conditions, socio-economic development situation, especially the potential for developing citrus fruit trees, garden and farm economy - the strengths of the locality.

Associate Professor, Dr. Passakorn Ongarj discussed with Tan Kieu villagers some contents about agricultural development.

The delegation members also directly visited a number of typical economic models, discussed with farmers about the process of planting, caring, harvesting and preserving products. Many issues were discussed by the two sides related to the application of biotechnology in pest control, soil improvement, improving quality and commercial value; building a model of organic fruit tree planting, combining digital transformation in management, product introduction, etc.

Besides, the delegation members and people of Tan Kieu village also discussed issues of cultural development and preservation.

Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission Duong Tat Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the program.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee Duong Tat Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that in the coming time, Kasetsart University and Ha Tinh province will have more technical exchange activities, joint research and training support to improve production capacity for farmers, aiming to build the brand of Ha Tinh agricultural products to reach the regional market, helping people in Tan Kieu village in particular and Ha Tinh people in general to innovate production and develop the economy.

Along with that is building Tan Kieu village to become a place to exchange, preserve and spread the unique cultural features of Thailand in Ha Tinh, aiming to develop community tourism in the locality.

From October 22 to 24, the delegation of Kasetsart University continued to visit and conduct field surveys in Hong Loc, Thach Khe, and Ky Anh communes; and worked with Ha Tinh Minerals and Trading Company (MITRACO).

The working program in Ha Tinh of Kasetsart University aims to strengthen and further develop the cooperative relationship between the two sides; at the same time, exchange and promote cooperation in the fields of high-quality human resource development, technology application in production - business, agriculture and creative startups...
