JAMWEI Institute delegation visited and worked in Dong Thap

DTO - On February 3, at the Department of Health, a delegation from the Japan Asia MedicalEducation and Welfare Research Institute (JAMWEI Institute) led by Mr. Yoshino Masayoshi - President of JAMWEI Institute visited and worked in Dong Thap province. Receiving the delegation were Director of the Department of Health Doan Tan Buu and representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, and Dong Thap General Hospital.

At the meeting, representatives of JAMWEI Institute discussed with leaders of the Department of Health and provincial departments and branches about cooperation proposals with Dong Thap province in the health sector, especially the provision of medical waste treatment system equipment to Dong Thap province through the international ODA system. The support of medical waste treatment system equipment to the province aims to improve the quality of medical waste management and treatment, contributing to ensuring a green - clean - beautiful living environment for the people. Representatives of JAMWEI Institute also invited leaders of provincial departments and branches to Japan to visit and learn about the operation of the medical waste treatment system. In addition, representatives of JAMWEI Institute discussed cooperation with the province to make the film "Connecting Bridge" between the two regions of Dong Thap - Mekong Delta and Tokushima - Shikoku province (Japan).

Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Department of Health Doan Tan Buu said that after the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Health will report in detail to the Provincial People's Committee on the proposed cooperation contents of JAMWEI Institute with Dong Thap province so that the Provincial People's Committee can give policies and promote cooperation activities.

JAMWEI Institute delegation, representatives of the Department of Health's leadership, conducted a field survey of the planned installation of medical waste treatment equipment for the Mekong region at Dong Thap General Hospital.

On the afternoon of February 3, the JAMWEI Institute delegation and representatives of several provincial departments and branches went to Dong Thap General Hospital to conduct a field survey of the proposed location of the medical waste treatment equipment in the Mekong region. Here, the members of the delegation learned about medical examination and treatment activities; the process and capacity of medical waste treatment at Dong Thap General Hospital.

Through the survey, Mr. Yoshino Masayoshi - President of JAMWEI Institute said that he will continue to discuss and exchange specifically with the province to reach an agreement and deploy medical waste treatment equipment of the Mekong region at Dong Thap General Hospital in the near future.
