On the morning of April 28, in the grounds of Thong Nhat Park, the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Ba Trung district held a flower offering ceremony at the statues of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang - two beloved leaders of the nation, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th birthday of the great President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Speaking at the flower offering ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hien emphasized that half a century has passed since the historic spring of 1975, but the April 30 victory is still a great epic in the history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.

It was the victory of ardent patriotism, of the aspiration for independence - freedom - happiness; the result of the wise and talented leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the solidarity, courage and sacrifice of the entire nation, including the great contributions of the people and soldiers of the capital Hanoi and the people of Hai Ba Trung district.

The Party Committee, government and people of Hai Ba Trung district will forever remember the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang - who devoted their whole lives to the revolutionary cause, for national independence and for the happiness of the people.

"Implementing the tasks assigned by the city along with the resolutions and work programs of the District Party Committee, in the first 4 months of 2025, the entire political system of Hai Ba Trung district strived to successfully carry out socio-economic development tasks," said comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Hien.

The district has proactively deployed and implemented the 2025 budget estimate to ensure timely response to spending requirements and tasks, in accordance with the regime, standards, norms, and legal regulations. The total budget revenue in the district is 3,186 billion 710 million VND, reaching 31% of the assigned estimate...

During the New Year festival, the district successfully organized the 1985th Anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising at the special national relic of Hai Ba Trung Temple - Pagoda - Communal House (Dong Nhan Ward) and Hai Ba Trung Temple (Bach Dang Ward). Here, the decision to register "Hai Ba Trung Temple Festival in Dong Nhan Ward and Bach Dang Ward" was announced as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Hien emphasized that the above outstanding results are an important premise for Hai Ba Trung district to continue to complete its tasks and socio-economic development plans in the coming time. At the same time, prepare necessary conditions and continue to reorganize administrative units according to the direction of the Central Government and the city.

Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang, the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Ba Trung district vow to always cultivate, study and follow the revolutionary moral example of the two beloved leaders; vow to unite as one, continue to study and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh; strive to build the capital Hanoi in general and Hai Ba Trung district in particular to become increasingly prosperous, civilized and happy.
