Tien Giang province's leadership delegation visited and encouraged the families of victims in the fire in My Tho city.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu shared the pain with the two families and the locality also supported 25 million VND for each deceased victim, the total cost is 100 million VND. In addition, there is also support for the families from the provincial leaders, departments, branches, provincial organizations and My Tho City.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu also said that in addition to financial support, the local government will help repair a victim’s house. As for the house that was completely burned down, the government pledged to mobilize all resources to rebuild it, helping the family stabilize their lives soon.

In the sad atmosphere, the provincial leadership expressed their deep condolences and affirmed that they will accompany the families to overcome this difficult period. At the same time, the provincial leadership also directed the relevant agencies to urgently investigate the cause of the fire and draw lessons from the fire prevention and fighting work of the people and the province.

The delegation also shared the pain of loss with the two families and expressed the determination of authorities at all levels to provide maximum support to the victims' families to overcome this difficult period.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu hopes that his family will overcome the pain and continue to move forward in life.

The fire broke out at around 1:30 a.m. on April 10, 2025 at house number 209/3, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Ward 7, Ward 4, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province. The consequences were particularly serious as all four people in the two families died.

Immediately after receiving the report of the fire from the local authorities, the police force and the people proposed solutions to quickly overcome the damage that occurred in the area. The Provincial Party Standing Committee promptly directed and the functional forces controlled the fire in the fastest time.

 

However, the consequences were extremely painful when 4 relatives in 2 families passed away forever. Early in the morning of the same day, Comrade Nguyen Hai Tram, Standing Deputy Secretary of Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Vinh; Director of Provincial Police Nguyen Van Nhut were directly present at the scene with leaders of various sectors to direct the fire fighting, rescue work, determine the cause and support the victims.
