Bau Trang tourist area attracts tourists after the effect of the movie "Flip side 8"

In recent days, after the film Lat Mat 8 by director Ly Hai was filmed at Bau Trang Tourist Area (a tourist area ranked as a national scenic relic, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province) was shown, it attracted many tourists to the "film set" to visit, travel, and check-in.

Bau Trang tourist area is surrounded by vast sand dunes running long and interspersed with many low forest trees. This place is considered as the "mini Sahara desert" in Binh Thuan . In the middle of a hot and dry sand area with hundreds of hectares of low coastal forest that seems to lack life, but nature has favored and bestowed on this land a long freshwater lake.

With its wild and charming beauty, in recent years, Bau Trang has become a destination that attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Bau Trang was awarded the title of Top 100 impressive destinations of Vietnam 2013; ASEAN favorite destination by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2014; Top 100 favorite tourist destinations in the southern region in 2016. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, with a total area of ​​about 45 hectares, Bau Trang scenic complex includes two lakes (Bau Ong, Bau Ba), sand dunes (Virgin Hill) located in the Northeast of Bau Ba and the forest ecosystem surrounding the two lakes.

The magical combination of nature between the lake and the sand dunes in the wild land full of sun and wind has created the landscape of Bau Trang like a majestic, beautiful, and attractive painting. At the same time, Bau Trang creates a contrast between sand and water, between aridity and cool water that revives all things, between hot and cold, creating a beauty with the fascinating philosophy of yin and yang of the desert and the oasis.

Bau Trang was ranked as a national scenic spot by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2019.

During the war, Bau Trang was located in the revolutionary base area of ​​Le Hong Phong. Taking advantage of the desert terrain, dry sand dunes and thousands of hectares of low forest trees, it was favorable for guerrilla warfare, especially relying on the fresh water source here to live and fight.

Bau Trang was listed in the top 100 impressive destinations in Vietnam in 2013.

Today, Bau Trang is not only a place to provide water for people's daily life but also a beautiful natural landscape, a gift from nature to this land that has attracted many domestic and foreign tourists to enjoy and explore. Not only sightseeing, tourists also participate in sand sliding, ostrich riding, fishing, and off-road vehicles.

Bau Trang also attracts many nature lovers to come here to find endless inspiration for sublimation in artistic creation.

Bau Trang has been associated with sand dunes for thousands of years. The lake brings cool water, and the sand dunes bring endless sand, and the two combine to create a poetic and charming place of great beauty. In 1867, poet Nguyen Thong came here from Long An. When passing by here, he was conquered by the beautiful scenery of clouds, sky, mountains and water of Bau Trang and composed many poems such as "Bach Ho Nhan Hanh" (Walking around Bau Trang) and "Qua Binh Nhon Sa Desert" (Passing through Binh Nhon sandbank).

Through the artistic lens, the natural landscape of Bau Trang was created by photographer Tran Tam My and the works "Doc" (photo won the International Gold Medal in Türkiye); "Duong Doi" (photo won the International Silver Medal in Italy in 2016) contributed to promoting the image of Bau Trang tourism, arousing the passion for exploring tourism in this land for domestic and international tourists.
