Established in 2016, up to now, Chien Thang Seafood Purchasing and Processing Cooperative (Tien Thang Residential Group, Ky Ninh Ward) has had 4 products meeting 3-star and 4-star OCOP standards: fish sauce, braised anchovies with peanuts, jellyfish and seasoned shrimp.
Luan Nghiep fish sauce products are recognized as achieving 4-star OCOP status.
Ms. Pham Thi Luan - Director of Chien Thang Seafood Purchasing and Processing Cooperative said: “Participating in the OCOP Program, the cooperative's products are evaluated through a strict set of criteria, the product quality meets the high demands of consumers. Each year, the cooperative purchases about 100 tons of anchovies from Ky Ninh fishermen to process about 50,000 - 60,000 liters of various types of fish sauce. The facility has created regular jobs for 5 workers with a salary of 5 - 7 million VND/person/month...”.
It is known that after 6 years of implementation, Ky Ninh is now the locality with the largest number of OCOP products in Ky Anh town with 8 OCOP products ranked 3 stars and 4 stars. In recent years, the ward's OCOP products are not only consumed locally but also present in domestic and foreign markets.
The survey team of the Central Office for New Rural Development inspected the fish sauce production model in Ky Ninh ward.
In particular, the OCOP program has brought a new breeze to change the thinking of agricultural economic development of people in rural areas, thereby contributing to accelerating the process of building new rural areas (NTM), improving the quality of life of Ky Ninh people (in 2024, the average income per capita will reach 64 million VND/person).
Ky Ninh is the first locality of Ky Anh town to be recognized as meeting the standards of an advanced NTM commune (2021). On this solid foundation, the locality has soon completed 18/18 criteria to become a ward from January 1, 2025.
Thuong Huyen oyster mushroom products are recognized to achieve 3 OCOP stars in 2022.
To complete the criteria for building advanced new rural areas, Ky Hoa commune chose oyster mushroom products from Thuong Huyen Mushroom Production Facility (Hoa Trung village) to build local OCOP products.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuong Huyen - Thuong Huyen mushroom production facility said: “Realizing that the OCOP program is an important step in improving the product, since 2021, with the support of the town and Ky Hoa commune, our facility has built a process that meets OCOP standards, by 2022 the oyster mushroom product was recognized as achieving 3 stars. With a closed mushroom cultivation process, ensuring quality, the price of each kilogram of mushrooms ranges from 30 - 40 thousand VND, on average each month after deducting costs, we earn a profit of about 30-40 million VND... It can be said that improving the quality and value of products through the OCOP program is not only the sustainable development direction of the facility but also contributes to the locality in building criteria for building new rural areas".
With its potential and advantages in marine economy, Ky Anh town has developed OCOP products with its own unique characteristics.
Ky Anh town is a locality with many typical specialties, especially seafood products, so OCOP products with characteristics of the southern region of Ha Tinh have continuously developed in both quantity and quality over the years.
After more than 6 years of implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program (2019), up to now, the whole Ky Anh town has 27 OCOP products, including 3 4-star products and 23 3-star products. Many famous products are favored by customers such as: Luan Nghiep fish sauce, Nhat Ninh fish sauce (Ky Ninh ward); Son Phuong mackerel sausage (Ky Loi commune); Chin Hong ham, Hung Ha Van cordyceps mushroom (Hung Tri ward)...
The focus of the OCOP Program is to develop advantageous agricultural , non-agricultural and service products in each locality according to the value chain, with private and collective economic sectors playing the main role, implementing in the direction of developing internal strength and increasing value. Therefore, the OCOP program is considered a solid foundation for building new rural areas in Ky Anh town in recent times.
The efforts of enterprises, cooperatives, and production entities, along with the creative and drastic approach of Ky Anh town in building and developing OCOP products, have contributed to promoting rural economic development in the direction of promoting internal strength and increasing value in the area. This is the "leverage" for Ky Anh town to continue to effectively implement the goal of building new rural district criteria, thereby helping people not only escape poverty sustainably but also have an increasingly higher quality of life...
