Fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung has just signed a document directing the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

In order to combat, prevent, repel and eventually end smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights to protect the legitimate rights and interests of people and businesses, and to protect security and health for people; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requests: Party committees, party organizations, the Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations at the provincial level; district, city, town party committees and affiliated party committees shall step up propaganda work and thoroughly grasp the contents of directives and instructions of the Government, ministries, central branches and the province on the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights; raise awareness, create unity and consensus among all levels, branches and all people in the province on the fight against counterfeit goods and trade fraud.

The Provincial Party Committee leads and directs the Provincial People's Committee to promptly and fully implement the Prime Minister 's instructions in Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 on launching a peak period to combat and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights; assign specific tasks to each agency and unit. Urgently advise on the establishment of a working group in the province headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with appropriate participants; launch a peak period to combat and repel crimes of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, copyright infringement, and infringement of intellectual property rights; resolutely direct the market management force to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to strictly handle acts of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the area.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department directs and guides press agencies to step up information and propaganda on the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; increase news and articles on the Government's and the province's anti-trade fraud activities, news and articles updating and disseminating knowledge about counterfeit goods, fake goods, goods of unknown origin... for businesses and consumers. Enhance the responsibility of the People and media agencies in detecting, reflecting, reporting and providing information on violations of counterfeit goods, fake goods, trade fraud so that the authorities can promptly handle them.

The Provincial Police Party Committee directed the police forces at all levels to closely coordinate with functional forces to focus on identifying organizations and individuals suspected of smuggling, trade fraud, production and trade of counterfeit goods, intellectual property infringement, goods of unknown origin and related acts; deploy professional measures to combat and criminally handle organizations and individuals who commit serious violations in order to promptly deter and warn.
