Average retail electricity price increased by 4.8% from May 10.

(CT) - Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has just implemented Decision No. 599/QD-EVN on adjusting the average retail electricity price, increasing 4.8% compared to the current average retail electricity price from May 10.

According to the newly adjusted price, customers using electricity for daily life from 0-50kWh will pay an additional electricity bill compared to the old rate of 4,550 VND/household/month; using electricity from 51-100kWh, the electricity bill will increase by 9,250 VND/household/month; using electricity from 101-200kWh, the electricity bill will increase by 20,150 VND/household/month; using electricity from 201-300kWh, the electricity bill will increase by about 33,950 VND/household/month; using electricity from 301-400kWh, the electricity bill will increase by 49,250 VND/household/month; using electricity from 400kWh or more, the electricity bill will increase by 65,050 VND/household/month.

According to EVN, this electricity price adjustment will ensure that poor households and social policy households are not affected significantly. Accordingly, poor households will be supported with a monthly support level equivalent to the amount of electricity used by 30kWh/household/month; social policy households with electricity use of no more than 50kWh/month will be supported with a monthly support level equivalent to the amount of electricity used by 30kWh/household/month according to the Government 's policy.
