Minimize the number of cases and deaths from infectious diseases

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee stated that in Dong Nai, the number of cases of diseases in the Expanded Immunization Program is still high, especially measles. In addition, diseases caused by rabies virus are developing complicatedly and unpredictably, mainly due to the low rate of rabies vaccination in dogs and cats.

In addition, the number of cases of epidemics such as dengue fever and hand, foot and mouth disease is expected to increase due to the influence of the weather with heavy rain, hot and humid environment, creating favorable conditions for pathogens and disease vectors to develop. There is a risk of many cases of diseases arising in the community such as meningococcal meningitis, Japanese encephalitis B, typhoid, chickenpox, mumps, whooping cough, and streptococcus suis.

In order to promptly control epidemics and be ready to respond to pandemics or epidemic emergencies, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned responsibilities to departments, branches and localities to prevent and combat infectious diseases in the province.
