AI is no longer a “luxury”
In Gia Nghia City, Vuong Anh Production, Trade and Service Company Limited - a unit specializing in the production and processing of agricultural products, has applied AI in market analysis and customer care.

Instead of relying on traditional experience, the company's AI system can now predict consumer trends, analyze shopping behavior, and recommend appropriate marketing strategies.
“Thanks to AI, we clearly identify potential customer groups by region, interests, and shopping time. Customer care is more proactive, thanks to smart chatbots that respond 24/7, increasing satisfaction and retaining old customers,” said Mr. Nguyen Cong Truong, Director of the company.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Thi Diu, Director of An Phat Trading and Service Company Limited, Gia Nghia City, is actively researching and promoting the application of AI in production and business. AI is like a virtual assistant that helps remind work schedules, plan production and business, prepare reports, analyze the market, etc.

“AI has many useful applications, providing effective support in improving work efficiency. I am practicing using AI to create product promotion clips to post on Facebook and TikTok,” Ms. Diu shared.
In response to practical needs from businesses, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Nong province coordinated to organize a workshop on applying digital transformation in trade promotion. Here, experts shared many contents related to integrating AI into business activities.
Mr. Wilson Lieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Human Resources Development Alliance (AIID), a leading expert on AI and digital transformation, said that the unit is developing smart AI application software, capable of automating the entire business management and operation process.

In addition, the software functions as a virtual assistant, reminding work, debts, automatically closing orders, making payments, calling shipping units, issuing invoices, creating financial reports, supporting tax declarations...
“This software will help businesses overcome technological barriers and optimize business operations,” Mr. Wilson Lieu affirmed.
To date, the rate of digital technology enterprises per 1,000 people in Dak Nong has reached about 0.19%. The digital economy accounts for 9.44% of the province's GRDP, an increase of 1.17% compared to 2022.
Smart conversion support
AI is one of the encouraged directions in the province's digital transformation strategy. However, the application of AI in local businesses is still facing difficulties due to high investment costs, lack of technology human resources and few practical models.

Mr. Wilson Lieu informed that AI is no longer a luxury technology. Even small businesses can take advantage of available platforms, such as analyzing customer data via social networks, using virtual assistants for customer care, or optimizing warehouse operations. The important thing is that businesses must have an approachable mindset and be ready to change.
Applying AI not only helps businesses improve their competitiveness, but also contributes to sustainable development. Many agricultural enterprises in Dak Nong are experimenting with using AI to assess environmental impacts, monitor carbon emissions, and adjust production processes in a green and clean direction.

Currently, Dak Nong is implementing an action program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. In particular, the province is increasing investment and improving infrastructure for these activities.
The provincial Department of Science and Technology is also guiding businesses to prepare documents to participate in the Project "Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to start innovative businesses in Dak Nong province until 2025"; at the same time, urging businesses to assess the level of digital transformation on the Digital Business Assessment Portal (DBI).

In the context of an economy that relies heavily on knowledge and technology, AI will be the “key” to help Dak Nong businesses make a breakthrough, gradually creating a competitive advantage in the market. Notably, Dak Nong currently ranks 7th out of 63 provinces and cities in terms of completion rate of digital transformation training courses.
