Rubber price today June 1: All decreased

Today's rubber price recorded a decrease in the world. Meanwhile, domestic rubber latex price continues to trade around 397 - 462 VND/TSC.

World market

At the time of the survey, the RSS3 price at the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) for delivery in May 2025 decreased by 5.3 yen (1.6%) to 327.7 yen/kg.

Meanwhile, on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), the price of natural rubber futures for June 2025 delivery fell sharply by 265 CNY (1.9%) to 13,745 CNY/kg.

In Thailand, the price of rubber futures for June delivery decreased slightly by 0.17 baht (0.2%) to 74.58 baht/kg.

Rubber prices today recorded a decrease worldwide.

Malaysian rubber ended the session with slight gains, helped by higher crude oil prices. However, gains were limited by mixed developments in regional markets.

In Japan, rubber futures traded in a narrow range on concerns about a price war in China's auto market and rainy weather in key producing areas.

The Thai Meteorological Department warned of heavy rains and the risk of flash floods and advised farmers to be on guard against crop damage. At the close of trading, the Malaysian Standard 20 (SMR 20) and block rubber prices rose one sen to 717.5 sen/kg and 626.5 sen/kg, respectively.

In China, the car price war is getting fiercer, especially after BYD launched a discount program for more than 10 car models.

The chairman of Great Wall Motors warned that China's auto industry is facing price pressure, affecting profits and car production, thereby affecting demand for rubber used in tire production.

Meanwhile, harvests in Asia were disrupted by weather, affecting raw material supplies.

Domestic market

At the domestic market, rubber prices have not changed compared to yesterday.

According to the latest listed price, the price of raw rubber latex at Mang Yang Company is from 397 - 401 VND/TSC; mixed latex is purchased at around 359 - 409 VND/DRC.

At Ba Ria Rubber Company, the purchase price of liquid latex is 462 VND/TSC, DRC coagulated latex from 35-44% is 13,600 VND/kg; raw latex is 16,900 - 18,200 VND/kg.

The latest price quote of Phu Rieng Rubber Company fluctuates at 405 VND/DRC for mixed latex and 440 VND/TSC for water latex.
