Businesses speed up production of products to serve Tet market

Orders increase

At this time, the production workshop of Hichagol Production, Trade and Service Company Limited is accelerating production to serve the Tet market. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Company, said that the company's year-end orders increased by 200% compared to normal days, and Tet orders doubled compared to last year. Units that did not have time to close orders last year have closed orders earlier this year.

This year, the company designed Tet gift baskets with main product lines such as jam, syrup, tea bags... with prices ranging from several hundred thousand to 500 thousand VND/basket. Of which, one product has achieved 4-star OCOP certification and two products are completing 4-star OCOP certification procedures.

To increase orders for the end of the year, the company has planned to start making Tet goods since mid-September. Learning from previous years, in the past 3 years the company has invested in a raw material freezing system. “At present, the company has produced 22 tons of products. Currently, the company is both returning old orders and continuing to receive new ones,” said Ms. Hien.

In addition to promoting production and trading in traditional forms, the company also focuses on online sales channels. “We organize live sales every day at fixed times on TikTok Shop. This is a way to increase product recognition and reach young customers who are more inclined to shop online,” said Ms. Hien.

At HCF Production, Trade and Service Company Limited, the production atmosphere is equally urgent. Mr. Tran Huy Cuong, Director of the Company, said: "The idea of "Hue Cooking Food - Creativity to elevate Hue specialties" has just won 3rd prize at the 2024 Thua Thien Hue Province Innovation and Startup Competition. This is an important boost to help us affirm our brand and increase our competitive advantage during the Tet holiday season".

The company's main products include fig mixed with shrimp and meat, mixed fig, boiled fig, fig sauce and fig sauce with sour shrimp. All products are produced and packaged according to the HACCP process (a system for analyzing, identifying and organizing the control of critical hazards in the production and processing of food), ensuring quality and food hygiene and safety. "Our products are priced from 40,000 to 70,000 VND, with eye-catching designs and suitable for the tastes of many customers. The products are available at GO! supermarket chains nationwide with a consumption of about 1,000 products per month. During Tet, the number of orders is expected to increase many times over," Mr. Cuong informed.

To increase competitiveness during the Tet holiday, the company also launched many attractive promotions. “We will give away other specialties to customers when buying large Tet gift baskets. This is a strategy to help retain customers and differentiate from other businesses,” Mr. Cuong emphasized.

Connect and expand the market

To make the most of the market's purchasing power during the upcoming Lunar New Year, SBC Hoang Gia Company Limited has also launched a new service - accepting orders to produce Tet gifts according to customers' requests. Ms. Ho Nhat Phuong, Director of the Company said: "With this approach, we help customers proactively choose the gift package they want, both in terms of product and price. In addition, the company also provides wholesale and retail of raw materials, products and gifts from Bo Chinh ginseng."

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Ly, CEO of Cong Thanh Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, said that although the company's products are not mainly for Tet, the company's Tet orders also increased by 20-30%.

Along with focusing on production, stabilizing the supply of goods and stabilizing prices, ensuring food hygiene and safety is also a top priority for businesses, cooperatives and production facilities. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien said: “To maintain the brand, continue to affirm prestige and ensure quality, the company constantly invests in improving production lines, focusing on training to improve skills for workers and laborers.”

Through our research, besides many businesses affirming that Tet orders have increased significantly compared to previous years, there are still many businesses that believe that this year the economy is difficult so there are not many Tet orders. A business specializing in producing confectionery and designing Tet gifts said that this year businesses have tightened spending so the number of gifts ordered as Tet gifts has decreased compared to last year.

Along with the initiative of enterprises, departments, branches... also carry out many trade promotion activities at the end of the year and act as a bridge to help enterprises access and expand the product consumption market during the major holidays at the end of the year, especially the upcoming Lunar New Year.
