The latest report on the labor market and recruitment in Ho Chi Minh City by the Department of Home Affairs also shows that the labor market in Ho Chi Minh City is growing positively.

Many industries recover, recruiting immediately

Ho Chi Minh City's strong economic growth, with the GRDP index in the third quarter increasing by 8.11% and the strong recovery of many sectors (trade, services, tourism, industrial production...) contributed to this growth.

In addition, businesses are making great efforts to produce and do business in preparation for the peak shopping season at the end of the year, holidays, Tet and "paying off" orders during the year, which also contributes to a clear change in the job market.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs forecasts that the total number of positions needed by the city near the Lunar New Year 2026 is estimated at about 30,000.

The sectors with the highest recruitment demand are: services - trade - tourism - logistics; processing - manufacturing industry; information technology - finance - business administration. A large part of these are still part-time, seasonal, service jobs...

Data from the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center (Department of Home Affairs) shows that in just the first 10 months of 2025, the entire city recorded more than 140,000 job seekers and over 250,000 job vacancies, a significant increase compared to the same period in 2024 (116,899 job seekers and over 190,087 job vacancies).

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , a representative of NovaGroup said that it will organize a recruitment program to aim at becoming a leading private economic group with 40,000 employees by 2030.

On November 15, this company plans to organize a seminar to recruit personnel in the fields of real estate, tourism, services, entertainment, agriculture , and consumption in the group's ecosystem.

Notably, candidates are interviewed directly on the spot and receive results on the same day, significantly shortening the usual waiting time of the recruitment process. The program is expected to attract more than 1,000 candidates with a variety of recruitment positions from specialists, senior specialists, experts to management and leadership positions in all areas of the NovaGroup ecosystem.

A representative of SSI Securities Company (HCMC) also said that they are recruiting many consultants and interns. The salary offered by SSI is about 6 - 12 million VND/month, not including unlimited commission if there is revenue. Along with the salary are benefits such as health care, social insurance, travel , fuel allowance, etc.

Foreign labor market is also 'thirsty' for human resources and job diversity

A representative of the Vivablast Company's human resources department said that they are urgently recruiting many wind power technicians (to work domestically and internationally). The salary offered by Vivablast is "quite attractive", but the requirements are very simple: only need to be male between 18 and 30 years old, graduated from high school or college, have good health, not afraid of heights and no experience is required.

Mr. Ho Duc Hoan, Director of Eduwing Global Company (HCMC), said that the company is urgently recruiting 150 candidates to work in Germany. The minimum salary commitment is 75 million VND/month, the labor contract lasts for 5 years and aims for permanent settlement.

Currently, Eduwing Global is recruiting for three main industries: restaurant, hotel and kitchen. Some industries related to electricity and electronics are also open to Eduwing Global to welcome candidates.

Although the salary is quite high, Mr. Hoan said that the requirements are quite simple, from just graduating from university or college, not requiring knowing German. Part of the reason comes from the fact that "the labor market in Germany is thirsty for qualified human resources".

Or Phan Immigration & Consulting Company (HCMC) is also trying to find workers to go to the US in fields such as graphic design, hotel, marketing or sales. The salary that this unit is offering is 17-23 USD/hour (about 400,000 - 570,000 VND/hour). The requirements that this company puts forth are somewhat higher, such as good English communication, commitment...

Ho Chi Minh City needs 1 million new workers in the period 2025 - 2030

Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Luong Thi Toi has just forecasted that in the period from 2025 to 2030, Ho Chi Minh City will need from 800,000 to over 1 million new workers, of which 70% will be in the service - high-tech industry group.
