Indonesia U23 team lost to Malaysia U23

The Indonesian U23 team brought more than half of the SEA Games 32 champion squad to the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. Meanwhile, the Malaysian U23 team sent Team B to Thailand. Therefore, the team of coach Shin Tae-yong and his team was rated higher. However, they disappointed the home fans.

Malaysia U23 started the match better. The first dangerous chance of the match came in the 8th minute. Akmal escaped down the line before passing back to Akif.
