Specifically, at around 3:35 p.m. on November 22, Mr. Nguyen Van Son (born in 1946) and his wife, Ms. Le Thi Dieu (born in 1959), residing in Hamlet 1, Vinh Xuong Commune, discovered a fire on the first floor of their house, which contained many devices such as battery repair tools, rechargeable batteries, televisions, refrigerators, etc. Immediately, Mr. Son called on everyone around to help put out the fire, but the fire spread rapidly.
Upon receiving the news, officers and soldiers of Vinh Xuong International Border Gate Border Guard Station quickly arrived at the scene, coordinated with the Commune Police, militia and fire prevention and fighting forces in Tan Chau area to deploy measures to put out the fire.
By 5 p.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Son, the cause of the fire could have been an electrical short circuit. Property damage was estimated at about 300 million VND, with no human casualties.
