Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

The People's Council of Hue City has carried out the procedure to dismiss comrade Phan Thien Dinh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City for the 2021-2026 term due to job transfer.

With 43/43 delegates present voting in favor (reaching 100%), the Hue City People's Council passed the Resolution to elect comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

Previously, the Hue City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Secretariat's decision on personnel work. The Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee and introduced him to be elected Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee.

At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Khac Toan said that this is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, the government and the people of the city. To complete the new task, he pledged to devote all his efforts and intelligence to the collective of the City People's Committee to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, discipline, democracy, creativity, determination and efficiency, and constantly building the government system from the city to the grassroots to become increasingly strong, effective, efficient and effective.

In the immediate future, he and the City People's Committee will focus on effectively implementing tasks and solutions in the final stage to strive to complete the 2025 socio -economic development plan assigned by the City Party Committee and the City People's Council. Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that in the coming steps, the City People's Committee hopes to continue to receive the attention and close and timely leadership of the City Party Committee; the synergy and unanimity of the entire political system; the coordination, supervision and comments of the National Assembly Delegation, the People's Council and voters and people of the city to continue to realize the city's development goals in the new period.

Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan was born on April 19, 1970, in Khanh Hoa province; qualifications: Bachelor of Judicial Law, Bachelor of Party Building and State Administration, Senior in Political Theory. During his career, he held many important positions in the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province. He was an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, terms XI and XII.

In March 2020, he was elected to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; from June 2021, he held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province. On September 16, 2025, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province for the 2021-2026 term.

On this occasion, the People's Council of Hue City passed a Resolution to dismiss comrade Nguyen Chi Tai from the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City due to his transfer to a new position; and elected comrade Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Hue City, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City.

In addition, the meeting passed a number of important resolutions such as: Regulations on tuition policies and tuition support in Hue city from the 2025-2026 school year; allocation of funds to ensure facilities for the arrangement, organization of administrative apparatus, units and construction of two-level local government.
