BTO-On the morning of June 26, in Hanoi, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on personnel work. Comrade Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court chaired and presented the decisions on personnel work.

At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Supreme People's Court Dao Tu Hoa announced the Decision of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the transfer and appointment of 29 Chief Justices of the Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Hanoi , Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Courts of the new provinces and cities after the merger. Accordingly, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court decided to appoint Comrade Nguyen Van Thanh, Chief Justice of the People's Court of Binh Thuan Province to the position of Chief Justice of the People's Court of Lam Dong Province (new). The transfer and appointment decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 24, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Courts. According to the newly passed Law, effective from July 1, 2025, the organizational system of the People's Court will be changed from 4 levels to 3 levels. Specifically, from July 1, the operation of 3 high-level people's courts will end, and district-level people's courts will not be organized. The organizational model of the People's Court includes: the Supreme People's Court; People's Courts of provinces and centrally-run cities (collectively referred to as provincial-level People's Courts); Regional People's Courts. Specialized Courts at the International Financial Center (collectively referred to as specialized courts); Central Military Court, Military Courts of military regions and equivalents, and Regional Military Courts (collectively referred to as Military Courts).

The ceremony to announce the decision of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on personnel work is an important event to implement the policy of arranging and streamlining the Central apparatus and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of People's Courts. In particular, the breakthrough of the Court sector is the Regional Court with much larger functions and tasks, helping to promptly and qualitatively resolve the workload of appeal and retrial.
